Savage Rebellion

How doth the world not fail to rise again
Though ev’ry good and pure thing hath been slain
Still, Earth will stand upon its broken feet
Death is the one thing it will never greet

How doth the world not fail to rise again
Though ev’ry good and pure thing hath been slain
Still, Earth will stand upon its broken feet
Death is the one thing it will never greet

Despair and sorrow reigns for a short time
Refusing to admit to their great crimes
Yet joy and laughter shall rule Earth once more
Ignoring Death, who’s knocking at the door

Dark skies and rain will give way to the light
As tears and frowns will give way to delight
And on that day will Death go back to Hell
Trapped in its isolated, lonely cell
